Two bound holograph manuscript writings on astronomy: "Account of, and Calculations Upon, Aurora Borealis," July 9, 1780, with a note inside front cover stating, "This tract given me by Hon. Elizur Goodrich, April 18, 1839, E. C. H. [Edward C. Herrick?]"; and "Calculations," 1782, relating to the solar eclipse that was to take place August 27, 1783, containing a note on the title page stating, "Deposited with the [Yale] College Archives," and signed by Ezra Stiles. Both items contain detailed drawings.
